Interior Remodeling
Whole-home and single-room interiors
We remodel home interiors across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Los Lunas, and Bernalillo, New Mexico — floor plan changes, framing, drywall, trim, doors, paint, and flooring handled as one coordinated job under NM GB-02 license #423140.
Interior remodeling is where sequencing matters most. Removing a wall touches framing, electrical, drywall, texture, paint, and flooring, and each one has to happen in order. We run that sequence so the finish work does not get redone twice.
Before any wall comes out, we determine whether it carries load. Load-bearing walls need a beam, a header, engineering, and a permit — we handle all four rather than guessing. Non-structural walls are straightforward, and we will tell you plainly which one you have.
Older Albuquerque and Santa Fe homes bring their own realities: plaster over lath, undersized panels, ducts running through the wall you want gone. We look for those in the walkthrough and price them, instead of finding them on day three.

Common Questions
- Can you tell if a wall is load-bearing?
- Usually, yes — we look at the framing direction, the roof structure, and what sits above it. If there is any doubt, we bring in a structural engineer before anything is cut. That is cheaper than the alternative.
- Can I live in the house during an interior remodel?
- Often yes, if the work is contained to part of the home. We seal the work area, protect flooring and walkways, and keep dust controlled. A whole-house interior remodel is usually easier on everyone if you are out.
- Can you match my existing wall texture?
- Yes. Texture matching is its own skill — we sample the existing wall and hand-match knockdown, orange peel, or skip trowel so a repair does not read as a patch after paint.
- How long does a whole-home interior remodel take?
- It depends on square footage and how much moves. A cosmetic refresh can run a few weeks; a gut with floor plan changes and new mechanicals runs months. You get a schedule with the estimate, and we update you when it changes.
