We install tile throughout New Mexico homes — showers, floors, backsplashes, and large-format porcelain — with waterproofing done to the manufacturer's system, not improvised.
A tile shower is a waterproofing job with tile on top. We build with a bonded waterproof membrane system such as Schluter, sloped correctly to the drain, with corners and penetrations sealed before a single tile is set. Flood-test first, tile second.
Large-format porcelain is unforgiving of a wavy substrate. Flat walls and floors are the whole game, so we shim, level, and back-butter rather than trying to hide lippage with grout.
We also handle the smaller work: tile removal, grout replacement, cracked tile repair, and kitchen backsplashes. Those are quoted the same way as a full bath — written, itemized, no minimum-job games.

Common Questions
- What waterproofing do you use in showers?
- A bonded sheet or liquid membrane system — commonly Schluter — installed per the manufacturer's instructions so it carries its warranty. Green board alone is not waterproofing and we will not build a shower on it.
- Can you match tile in an older home?
- Sometimes for a repair, if the line is still made or you have spares. Discontinued tile often cannot be matched exactly; in that case we will show you options that read intentional rather than patched.
- How long does a tile shower take?
- Typically about a week of tile-specific work — demo, substrate, waterproofing and cure, setting, then grout and seal with cure time between steps. Rushing the cure is how showers fail.
- Do you do backsplashes only?
- Yes. A backsplash is a real job to us, with a written estimate like any other.
