Concrete
Flatwork, driveways, and repair
We take on residential concrete across New Mexico — driveways, sidewalks, patios, slabs, steps, and stamped work — coordinated under our license with experienced flatwork crews.
Good flatwork is decided before the truck shows up. Compacted base, correct thickness, reinforcement where it matters, and control joints cut on time and at the right spacing. Skipping any of those is how a two-year-old driveway ends up with a random crack across it.
Drainage comes first. Concrete has to shed water away from the foundation, and a patio poured flat or sloped the wrong way sends it straight into the house. We set grade deliberately.
Decorative and stamped concrete is available where you want the patio to do more than function — pattern, integral color, and a sealed finish that holds up in UV.

Common Questions
- How long before I can drive on a new driveway?
- Foot traffic typically after a day or two, vehicles after about a week depending on mix and weather. We give you the actual dates for your pour, not a rule of thumb.
- Why did my concrete crack?
- Usually base settlement, missing or late control joints, or thickness that never matched the load. We look at which one before recommending a repair or a replacement.
- Can cracked concrete be repaired instead of replaced?
- Sometimes. Stable hairline cracks can be treated. Heaving, spalling, or sections moving independently mean the slab is failing and patching it just buys a season.
- Do you pour in winter?
- Yes, with cold-weather practices and an eye on the forecast. We will reschedule rather than pour into a hard freeze.
